Accessibility Statement
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
At Business Loans IQ, we recognize that accessible design is not a feature — it is a fundamental right. Millions of Americans live and work with disabilities that affect how they interact with digital content. Our platform serves small business owners from all walks of life, and we are committed to ensuring that no one is excluded from accessing financial comparison tools, loan information, or lender contact options because of a disability.
Our accessibility program is an ongoing effort led by our engineering and content teams. We regularly audit our Platform using both automated testing tools and manual evaluation by team members, and we actively incorporate user feedback to identify and resolve barriers as quickly as possible.
We acknowledge that full accessibility is an ongoing journey and that our Platform may not yet meet every guideline in every area. Where gaps exist, we are actively working to close them. We are committed to being transparent about both our achievements and our limitations.
2. Standards We Follow
We design and develop our Platform in accordance with the following standards and frameworks:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA: Published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), WCAG 2.1 AA is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility and the benchmark most commonly used in U.S. legal and regulatory contexts.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act: The federal standard for accessible electronic and information technology, applicable to federal agencies and widely adopted as a best-practice benchmark by commercial platforms.
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): While the ADA does not prescribe a specific technical standard for websites, we align our accessibility efforts with the principles of equal access to public accommodations established by the ADA.
- Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA): We implement WAI-ARIA roles, states, and properties to improve the accessibility of dynamic content and complex interface components for assistive technology users.
3. Current Conformance Status
The following table summarizes our current conformance status across key WCAG 2.1 AA criteria as assessed during our most recent internal audit conducted in April 2026:
4. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, we are aware of the following accessibility limitations currently present on our Platform. We are actively working to resolve each of them:
- Multi-step loan inquiry forms: Some form steps may not provide sufficient inline error messages for screen reader users when a required field is left blank. We are implementing improved ARIA live region alerts for form validation errors. Target resolution: Q3 2026.
- Comparison table on mobile at high zoom: Lender comparison tables with five or more columns may require horizontal scrolling when the browser is zoomed to 400% on mobile devices. We are building a condensed table view for high-zoom contexts. Target resolution: Q3 2026.
- Third-party lender logos: Some lender logo images supplied by third parties do not include descriptive alt text because they are provided as CSS background images. We are transitioning these to inline images with proper alt attributes. Target resolution: Q2 2026.
- PDF documents: Any downloadable PDF resources linked from our Platform may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. We are reviewing all linked PDFs for accessibility and replacing inaccessible PDFs with accessible HTML equivalents where possible.
- Video content: Any video content published to our Platform will include captions and audio descriptions. Older video content is being reviewed and updated accordingly.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our Platform that is not listed here, please contact us using the information in Section 9. We take all accessibility reports seriously and aim to respond within 5 business days.
5. Assistive Technologies We Support
We test our Platform with the following assistive technologies and browser combinations to verify compatibility:
- JAWS screen reader with Google Chrome on Windows
- NVDA screen reader with Mozilla Firefox on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition software with Chrome on Windows
- ZoomText magnification software on Windows
- Keyboard-only navigation without any assistive technology, tested on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
We also conduct regular automated audits using tools including Axe, Lighthouse, and WAVE to identify and flag issues for manual review.
6. Accessibility Features on Our Platform
The following accessibility features are currently implemented across our Platform:
- A “Skip to main content” link that appears on keyboard focus, allowing keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repeated navigation
- Logical heading hierarchy on all pages to enable efficient navigation by screen reader users
- Visible keyboard focus indicators on all interactive elements, including links, buttons, form fields, and accordion triggers
- Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images and empty alt attributes on decorative images
- ARIA landmark roles on all page regions, including navigation, main content, and footer areas
- Sufficient color contrast ratios across all text, buttons, and interface components
- Form fields with associated visible labels and placeholder text that supplements rather than replaces the label
- HTML lang attribute on all pages to support correct screen reader language pronunciation
- Responsive layout that supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No content that flashes more than three times per second, minimizing seizure risk
- Consistent navigation structure across all pages to support orientation and wayfinding
- All videos published by Business Loans IQ include closed captions
7. Third-Party Content and Tools
Our Platform includes content and tools provided by third parties, including lender widgets, chat tools, advertising systems, and analytics components. We make reasonable efforts to select third-party providers who demonstrate commitment to accessibility, but we cannot guarantee the full accessibility of all third-party content.
If you encounter an accessibility barrier in a third-party component on our Platform, please let us know and we will work with the provider to address it or provide an accessible alternative.
8. Accessibility Feedback and Complaints
We welcome feedback from users about the accessibility of Business Loans IQ. If you encounter a barrier that prevents you from accessing any content, completing a loan inquiry, comparing lenders, or using any other feature of our Platform, we want to hear from you immediately.
What to include in your accessibility report: Please describe the specific barrier you encountered, the assistive technology or browser you were using, the URL of the page where you experienced the issue, and any steps that might help us reproduce the problem. The more detail you can provide, the faster we can investigate and respond.
